The locals are in luck and that is the great Cirque du Soleil offers up to Dec. 31 one of his best-known shows at the Madrid Arena enclosure located in the House itself. The great artistic company thus returns to the Madrid stage, after his spectacular debut in June in New York, the mecca of entertainment par excellence, with the help of his new Zarkana. The play, written and directed entirely by the famed director François Girard film is presented as one of the largest and required appointments of the art scene in the region. The ticket prices range from 23 to 123 euros. They are available at one’s own Cirque du Soleil website or pages known as discounts.

Zarkana is a rock opera that mixes acrobatic circus arts with Surrealism to create a world where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the bizarre. A visual maelstrom set in a fantasy universe some twisted acrobatic and musical in which, little by little, the chaos and madness gives way to the celebration of love and recovery.

As indicated from the Cirque du Soleil, “the story follows Zark, a magician who has lost his powers – and the love of his life – in an abandoned theater inhabited by a diverse series of bizarre characters and stunning acrobatics. Encounters with Mutants, four sirens as sinister as fabulous, which are determined to divert him from his quest. ”

One of the most advanced foundation in the cultural area of Madrid is, without doubt, Caixa Forum. A meeting place where all those people who want to discover new and exciting exhibits and activities take place. Following his line of commitment to art, the foundation offers until 15 January, the wonderful shows “Delacroix (1798-1863).” A unique opportunity to enjoy the best pictures from one of the great painters of the history of Romanticism. This exhibition, jointly organized with the Louvre as part of a partnership, is the most important in Spain has been organized around the figure of the artist.

As it appears on the web collected Caixa Forum, “the exhibition brings together over 100 works by the great French painter Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863), one of the most prominent figures of Romanticism, including some of his oils known as “Greece Expiring sobe the Ruins of Missolonghi” (Museum of Fine Arts, Bordeaux), one of the sketches of the “Death of Sardanapalus” (Louvre, Paris) and “women of Algiers in his place” (Louvre Museum , Paris), exceptionally loaned for the exhibition “.

The exhibition includes loans such important institutions as the National Gallery in London, New York Metropolitan Museum or the Art Institute of Chicago. And we proposed a fascinating journey through the different stages of production of Delacroix, from the early works, seeking inspiration in the museum, to the stage of maturity, in which the artist draws his themes of reality, with particular emphasis in works of history and the Orientalists meeting for the first time since 1963, its centenary year.
